Railway and Vercel, side by side
Both offer a $20 Pro starting point. The difference is what that $20 pays for, and how your team and usage add to the bill.

Details to check before choosing
Free and entry plans
Railway offers a trial of up to 30 days with $5 of credits, followed by $1 of monthly usage on Free. Hobby starts at $5 of monthly usage and has a single developer workspace.
Vercel offers Hobby for personal, non-commercial use. Check whether that eligibility matches your project before relying on it.
What grows the bill
Railway meters resources including CPU, memory, storage and network egress. Its Pro pricing page lists unlimited workspace seats; its Stripe provisioning guide separately describes per-seat pricing, so check the terms for that purchase path.
Vercel bills developer seats and lists separate usage-based charges for several services. The $20 Pro usage credit is per team, not per developer seat.
Estimate your workload
The credits cover different meters and the services are not interchangeable line by line. Review the resources your application needs, any add-ons and your expected traffic against each provider’s pricing before comparing totals.
