Details that change the decision
Free history
Slack: 90 days of message history. Free workspaces delete messages and files older than one year; owners may choose a 90-day deletion policy.
Twist: Access up to one month of comments and messages. Twist says older history remains stored and becomes accessible after upgrading.
Guests
Slack: Guest roles require a paid plan. Multi-channel guests are billed like members; single-channel guests are free up to five for each active paid member.
Twist: Guests are free on the Free plan. On Unlimited, multi-channel guests are billed and single-channel guests are free.
Free workspace
Slack: The captured free plan lists up to 10 app integrations.
Twist: The captured free plan lists up to five integrations and 5 GB of file storage.
